symlink in /usr/share/icons

I had to run this command any time I modified the icons dir,
otherwise desktop starters wouldn't find the icons. That's why I thought it
might just work.
I'm not really sure though. Anyway, have you tried running it without the
-v option,
or maybe with -f (to force cache generation) ?
