Xfdesktop background image

Hi all,

I compiled and installed XFCE 4.4.0. But, the background image has been
disabled in Xfdesktop. Though, i can enable the desktop image from the
Desktop Settings but, is there a way to enable the background image
while compilation like modifying something in the source code ?

The file common/xfdesktop-common.h in the xfdesktop source code, seems
to store the desktop image related info. but, i couldn't find anything
relating to the enabling/disabling of desktop image.
