I second this, and we can still switch to include gplv3 in case we *do* think it's a
good thing.
I suggest using the following text to indicate it in source code:
/********
This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it
under the terms and conditions of the GNU General Public License,
version 2, as published by the Free Software Foundation.
*********/
which is as close as it gets to the default header, and specifically points to v2 only.
Not sure how this would be for Lgpl exactly though.
