You're missing the point. We can't assume that everyone who will want
to look at the docs will have an internet connection available. That's
why we distribute docs with the tarballs: so there's a local copy.
Exporting wiki pages just sounds messy.
If other module owners want their docs on the wiki, that's up to them.
Xfdesktop, however, will remain in docbook format, and (if I remember to
do it) link to the wiki for 'extra info'.
