i've zipped and attached the .m4 file on my system, included with 
gtk-doc 1.1 (it was in /usr/share/aclocl).  is it possible that the 
gtk2-x11-doc cygwin package is just the documentation itself (i.e., the 
html/xml/whatever files) and not the actual source code documentation 
system?
