It seems your CVS tree is not up to date. What I get:

[edscott at sagitario xffm]$ grep '(gv)' xffm.reg 
(.ps) (gv) ()
<double click and remember stuff>
[edscott at sagitario xffm]$ grep '(gv)' xffm.reg 
(.ps) (gv) ()
(.ps.gz) (gv) ()

I suppose you will either have to wait a bit longer or request developer
CVS access.
