No "Edit Menu" in Applications menu properties ?

You need to install the needed application. IIRC it's alacarte.

You could run alacarte from command line, assumed the "Edit Menu" button
shouldn't appear.

Alternatively take a look at

cinnamon-menu-editor
menulibre
mozo

all of them including alacarte don't provide perfect editing of Xfce's
menu, they are only useful for raw editing.
