If you want to use Thunar, that are most likely the hard dependencies
required by Upstream. Arch Linux usually follows upstream.
If you use the package management of your distro, you most likely
have got at least all hard dependencies installed. Suggested and
recommended, IOW non-hard dependencies, aka optional dependencies are
completely unrelated to a crash. It also is unimportant what Xfce4
dependencies are installed or not installed, since the topic is Thunar.
I can use Thunar on openbox and JWM, IOW neither running xfwm4, nor
running xfce4 and it doesn't crash.
