LQ 2011 annual poll

Dear all
The latest LQ poll has just closed and the DE results are quite
interesting. After maintaining a steady ~11% of voter preferences for
the past three years (2008-2010), this year (2011) Xfce polls a
respectable 27%, in front of Gnome (Shell, Unity, MATE) and slightly
behind KDE. [1]

KDE 	 	33.01%
Xfce 	 	27.59%
Gnome Shell 	19.14%
LXDE 	 	7.02%
Unity 	 	4.63%
MATE 	 	3.35%

Additionally, Thunar takes a decent 16%. [2]
Nautilus 	 	24.43%
Dolphin 	 	24.63%
Thunar 	 	16.70%

I take these results as a crude estimation of the effect of the Gnome
3 release on Xfce adoption. Regards
