Those have been established standards for years. Everybody knows them,
so I doubt that's very interesting.

APIs are not really interesting either, in most cases at least. Xfce
doesn't use GApplication yet, D-Bus is a given, and GIO... well, it's
just a library, nothing special about it. ;)
