Error building xfce4-genmon-plugin in Ubuntu 11.04 - do I need newer version?

I think it was something out of date in my (original) fixed code.

I downloaded the latest xfce4-genmon-plugin source code which is newer
than what comes with xubuntu 11.04 but it built and installed without
problems.  My fix is in the latest version so I'm happy now!  :-)
