Volume keys not working properly

Houghi;

I have these in auto-start:

Volume Control (Show desktop volume control) and
XFCE Volume daemon (Daemon managing the volume multimedia keys and
displaying volume notification)

I'm running openSuse 11.4 64bit on hp dv7-4274nr laptop, and the
multimediakeys worked out-of-the-box.
I had to struggle with this on earlier versions of the OS and xfce.

ps -ef shows:
gnome-volume-control-applet running
/usr/bin/pulseaudio --start --log-target=syslog running

Hope this helps,

-John
