It works fine on Debian sid, but anyway hal-marshal.h is supposed to be
generated dynamically. You need --enable-maintainer-mode passed to
configure for that, but autogen.sh should do it.

Maybe try to clean everything and start with a fresh git (git checkout;
git clean -x -d), just in case. You might have to put the full log
somewhere, just in case.
