Two "xfce" entries at login

You give us precious little information to work with. What
distribution and login manager are you using? Must likely you will
recieve better help with this problem on a list / forum related to
your distribution, since the problems you have are with the login
manager / X, and not really Xfce itself.
For what it's worth, I doubt that the symlink has anything to do with
the problems you are seeing.
