xfce4-mixer and USB audio

Hi,

I have an external Benchmark DAC connected to my computer but I cannot 
select it in the XFCE Mixer. The only choices are "M Audio Audiophile 
24/96 (Alsa mixer)" and "ICE1712 - multitrack (OSS Mixer)". On the other 
hand, the DAC is recognized by aplay:

$ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: M2496 [M Audio Audiophile 24/96], device 0: ICE1712 multi 
[ICE1712 multi]

Any ideas?
