It works in Xfce here too... I copied an image from OOo impress to OOo
writer.
BTW you cannot open two instances on OOo, you open two windows with the
same process (OpenOffice.org does just like Firefox, if an instance is
already running, it just opens now windows from the same process).
Are you sure your test is valid? Can you tell us a bit more about the
procedure you test?
