Xfce4 Crash: Need Help Quickly -- FIXED!!

Bo,

   In a previous version of Xfce4 I had the panel disappear a couple of times
on each host her, but that was easily fixed by running 'xfce4panel &' and
letting the session manager learn to put it back up the next time.

   More recently -- last week -- the wallpaper was trashed from an abortive
attempt to upgrade to the -4.4.0 release. That was fixed by switching
wallpapers (a nice change, I do admit.)

   But, today's problems are a first.

   Running xinit didn't do anything ... but I looked more closely at the
error messages on the console and resinstalled pango. That did it! Whew!

   How I managed to trash that yesterday while struggling to get g-wrap
properly installed so I can configure and build gnucash, I've no idea. But,
I sure stepped on it very hard.
