various config questions

hi people,

first, sorry for the late reply, i've been away for the weekend and haven't
seen much of my email... ;-)

the problem i had with the options for thunar-volman plugin not being set
was indeed solved by the fix that Brian Tarricone mentioned. thanks for
that!

that would work, but IMHO i don't find it a very "clean" solution, because
those options should only be added to devices that have a (v)fat file
system. fstab only allows you do identify mount points and device files,
but they are of course not linked to any specific file system.

i'm actually considering switching back to usbmount (which i used on slack
11). it doesn't create those nice icons on the desktop, but i can live
without them, and it has the advantage that you can set mount options per
file system, plus the mounted devices show up in the panel's mount plugin
(or at least they did in xfce 4.2...)
