Aha, then it's not specific to Xfce... I modified
xorg.conf before, but only looked at the Monitor
section and changed the depth to 96dpi :) I don't know
what it was by default, but it was something really
miserable!

Well, actually I already did, but if you're not really
"looking for" them, chances are you stare at the sky
but don't see the stars (of course at night time :)).
It's best to leave it to time: as need arises I'll
find it out.
