If the former, everyone will benefit. If the latter,
we will have proved how perfect XFCE is at the end of
the day :). For now, let's assume the worst (former)
and see how it goes.

P.S. Actually, a third possibility is that I'm
knocking on the wrong door: maybe Xubuntu is the one
to blame about some of the (perceived?) problems, as
you pointed out earlier.
