Well, then this is a bug in the positioning, not a reason to need to
disable them.

I'm not sure what the problem is, though: I hover over the icon, tooltip
appears, I double-click, icon activates.  Perhaps they're moving the
mouse over top of the tooltip after it appears?  Well, if that's that,
we can simply place it a little farther down.  File a bug, if you'd like...
