Dual screen issues

I have the following:

-rw-r--r--  1 houghi users 3440 2005-11-22 08:58 contents.xml.active.1
-rw-r--r--  1 houghi users 3524 2005-11-22 08:58 contents.xml.bak

When I move contents.xml.active.1 to c.1 and copy contents.xml to
contents.xml.active.1 the file gets overwritten.
