Nope.

Yes, but no one really has the time for it currently, and it's a pretty
low priority.

Not sure what you mean. In general, programs don't care what desktop
environment or display manager you run. As long as you have all
necessary dependencies (libraries, etc.) installed, there should be no
problems.
