window positioning

Dear lads & gents,

I'm looking for a possibility, to adjust the positioning of windows manually, e.g. via a little 
config file which contains the coordinates of a desired application window. Or can this be done 
graphically?

My problem:
I installed iconbox (no, not the Lil'Star one) from http://elrodeo.de/velopment/iconbox/index.php

This program opens a little window that displays a menu with entered applications only when the 
cursor touches a certain area of the desktop. I want this window to appear on a prespecified 
location on top of other windows. Although it's configuration offers an option to handle this, 
these settings seem to be overridden by XFCE4. How can I change this behavior?
