Is It Possible To Remove The "Task Bar"

I was just wondering if this is possible.. I've been googling around for it
and one of the XFCE developers has done it as well (screen shot is at:
http://de.lunar-linux.org/xfce4/screenshots/screenshot-moe_thumbnail.png)

 When you first log-into XFCE, there are 2 bars.

The top is a "task bar" (where you can see the windows that are open / 
minimized)
and the second is that actual XFCE panel that has the icons and stuff.

Is it possible to remove the top bar?

I don't really like wasting space and I figured that the window list plugin
will work just fine for me :)
