Inconsistent Workspace Names

Hi all,

In order to figure out what the problem is that I am
experiencing, I downloaded the source and then recompiled,
also adding the patch to hierarchically create directories
(which doesn't work only on Solaris). I also deleted the
directories ~/.xfce4 and ~/.config. Compilation went through
smoothly.

On startup, I am getting this error message :

(xfce-mcs-manager:10159): libxfcegui4-CRITICAL **: netk_workspace_get_name: assertio
n `NETK_IS_WORKSPACE (space)' failed

It seems like it is trying to write to ~/.xfce4, which I no
longer have. Thinking that it might be XDG_CONFIG_HOME, I
set it to ~/.config, but I still get the same problem.

Then I bring up workspace setting. When I increase the
number to 5 (from default 4), the dialog box disappeared
with the following error message :

libxfce4mcs-CRITICAL **: Unable to open file /remote/mountst/leekk/.xfce4/settings/w
orkspaces.xml.tmp to store channel "WORKSPACES" to: No such file or directory

After this, when I clicked on any settings button, it
brought up the window, but then disappeared immediately.
Also, the font I set in UI has changed to fixed.

Any ideas what is the problem?
Thanks.

James.
