Disabling Shadows But Keeping Transparency?

Hi!

I'm new on the list so please excuse me if this has been discussed before :)

I've already googled on the topic but can't seem to find a way to keep 
xfce 4.2's
panel & windows transparent but to disable the shadows that appear around
the window border.

I'm hoping someone can help me out with this.. just a suggestion, it 
would be
great if these features could be controlled from xfce's Settings Manager 
(especially
since xfce has it's own compositor and isn't just using xcompmgr).
