That is correct. You should also be able to dnd any file or folder shown
by xffm-iconview and get a symlink to it on the desktop. And you should
be able to dnd any icon on the top level xffm-iconview window and get
the associated .desktop file symlinked at $HOME/Desktop.
I believe there is a time delay between anonymous and developer's svn,
so check your revision. Single click navigation is now enabled for both
xffm-iconview and xffm-deskview, (svn revision 16945) so you should be
able to see that.
What does not look right is that you have problems with dnd under
double-click navigation. That might indicate another problem. Maybe an
installation issue. Check what happens if you dnd to $HOME/Desktop using
xffm-iconview. And make sure xffm-deskview is not running under another
user because that would mean a different $HOME/Desktop directory.
