xfce-mcs-manager cannot run over an network X connection?

Hm, the display plugin checks if RANDR and XF86VM are supported by the 
Xserver first. I guess some of the XF86VM functions can only be used on 
local displays. We could get around this problem using 
gdk_error_trap_push()/gdk_error_trap_pop(), any objections?
