not having tried Arch, but having read the website and the reviews and seeing
this post I'd like to add that Lunar is maybe something in between gentoo and
arch, being sourcebased, very up-to-date AFAICT and I like the way you can
fiddle the compile and install options, which are kept for next time. It makes
syslife easier without handing of control :-)

I did not like Gentoo myself.
