	I have worked around this situation by using the ~/Desktop/Autostart
feature.  What I did was to make a shell script that starts up the
things i tend to want running all the time whenever I login.  FWIW, this
is the script I have at home -

Paradise; can it be all I heard it was?
I close my eyes and maybe I'm already there.
