Gkrellm lockup

We may have hit this already on the list, but has anyone who uses Gkrellm on XFCE 3.99.2 noticed that Gkrellm locks up (e.i. clocks and krells freeze up) roughly once a day (RH 8.0)? My email program and Gkrellm occasionally collide when checking for email, but that merely brings up a logon-error message from one or the other, while the rest of Gkrellm merrily chunks along. When Gkrellm locks, I have no error message on screen and must shut Gkrellm down and restart it to return it to normal ops. 

As a topical siding: Has anyone yet come up with a mount/unmount applet for the panel? Or a Pop3 setting for the mail indicator? I'm no programmer, just an interested prospective user ;-)
