It will be prettier :-)
Seriously, there are lot of fundamental things changing, including a
completely new window manager. GTK2 is just a natural cause of evolution I
guess. GTK2 has a bigger memory footprint, but shouldn't be much slower
(I'm not very representative probably, since I have 640 MB of RAM).
We will always focus on being lightweight and fast.
