I run Windows 10 and Windows 11 in virtual machines on a Linux host. IMO
there's neither an unique look for Windows apps on Windows, nor an
unique look for BSD or Linux apps on Xfce. IMO more important is the
main behaviour of the desktop environment and then it depends on the
user's taste, since something is equal and other things are different.
On Windows Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher look
different to other common apps. On Linux/BSD Qt apps look different to
Gtk apps and Gtk 2 apps look different to Gtk 4 apps, whatever super
theme is used.
PS:
It seems this reply from me didn't came through the list until now:
You don't need to send the same request to the developers list.
I forgot to mention. You can easily get a persistent Xubuntu install by
copying the Xubuntu ISO to a https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html USB
stick and by doing a few additional steps.
