Hello, I am new, questions about compilation and testing, to be a developer.

For now I want to do the first thing to be able to compile full xfce by
hand and be able to use it (I'm new to this). From what you tell me, if I
don't want to touch my XFCE (stable), I can only use a virtual machine or a
container?(Which I don't know how to use).

Of course I would like to contribute, openSUSE is my main distribution, I
use it since the alpha version
