launch Thunar with 2 tabs

Hi Devs --

In a recent discussion among our users (MX Linux) and others about the 
perennial double pane topic, the question arose about whether it was 
possible to launch Thunar with 2 tabs already active.

Nothing we have found in the man page or the configs was encouraging, 
hence this email. Thinking something might be hidden, I tried without 
success a couple of options (and variants) that I thought might work:

thunar --tabs=2
thunar -t 2

Is there an existing command that would do this?
