As Pablo mentioned, you can start to port it to Gtk3 (>=3.20) and share a
repository on GitHub, once you are confident please let us know here on the
mailing list.
After that you're free to take a look at bugs and RFE:

You can also reach us on #xfce-dev, but the patient since we live across
