Compile xfce4-timer-plugin

Hello:

(this is my first message on the list)

I have never compiled a plugin for xfce4, nor I am a C expert.

I would like to learn.

I'm trying to compile the xfce4-timer-plugin to do tests, learn... and 
of course suggest some improvement.

My system is Xubuntu 16.04

I downloaded the code here:
https://github.com/xfce-mirror/xfce4-timer-plugin

Now I try to compile
# ./configure

Seems to work fine

when
# make

it but I have stuck here:
xfcetimer.c: 41: 35: fatal error: libxfce4ui / libxfce4ui.h: No such 
file or directory

I installed libxfce4ui-1-dev (but not worked)
I sent a message to the plugin developer. I have not had an answer.

Can anyone help me?
