I don't agree with the language there, but I do share views on the point. I
can imagine mustering something similar on occasion. Not that that's the
case here, but writing software that is ill-designed or lacking essential
features, that does things wrongly, that malfunctions, however benevolently
intended is actually a disservice to the community. I'm not refering to
Ristretto, which I don't know well or use, but I would consider 90°
rotation pretty essential for an image viewer nowadays.

I think you set good example by not being offended by an impersonal rant.
Surely you got rewarded for your work many times over.
