How I can start contribute to XFCE?

I'm not an expert in GTK+, but there are many different things between
GTK-2 and GTK-3+.
A Xfce in GTK-3 would be good, but no only in GTK-3, because it's no
portable so.
I say it because I'm doing a new revision (release) of Xdialog and I had
many problems with those aspects.
Big hug :-)
