xfce4-notes-plugin does not build with Xfce 4.12

Hi,

I'm running Slackware 14.1, but I've replaced the shipped Xfce 4.10 with 
a custom-built Xfce 4.12:

Xfce 4.12 is running very nicely (kudos!), but unfortunately the 
xfce4-notes-plugin refuses to compile. Here's the build error I get:

What now?
