Awesome! Xfce can always use more help. I believe the people who can
approve/grant rights are on a break, in the meantime you can always
attach more patches to the bugzilla for review and/or keep something
like a github repo that someone with rights can easily cherry-pick
from into git master.
I also noticed you (I'm assuming here) commented on this bug:

trouble building from git? Perhaps that's something we can also help
