Bug #3386 is indeed a reason for avoiding the details view when 
possible. For someone like me who primarily uses context menus and 
usually does not care about the file menu, this won't really solve bug 
#3386, but instead forces me to use another way to work around the 
inconsistencies. So I'd rather call that an ugly hack.

Despite this, the shortcut feature would be great, especially as I 
usually prefer shortcuts to context menus (but not in every case).

BTW, and definitely meant as a sideblow: IIRC this was solved in PCManFM 
a long time ago.
