xfce4-vala for xfce-4.8pre?

I'm not sure I understood this correctly, but I presume that you've
already packaged 4.8pre1 for Alpine Linux.
If this is the case, and you also want to put up a package for
xfce4-vala, why not just package the current git version? It is
practically the same thing, and you don't have to put Mike through the
overhead of releasing it.
