Lines wrapping in Terminal 0.4.2 (Xfce 4.6.1)

Hello,

on Arch Linux I am using package xfce-utils 4.6.1-1, which includes the terminal. 
Whenever a line is too long, its wrapping overwrites the current line instead of going into the next line; this makes the Terminal unusable.

The problem can be easily fixed by running 'shopt -s checkwinsize' in the shell profile; is this a known issue to you? Should the xfce4-utils package require a config script (in /etc/conf.d/) with such command?
