problem upgrading 4.4 to 4.6

Yup.  Your 'upgrade' is very incomplete.  You have a mix of 4.4 and 4.6 
packages, and are missing some new 4.6 packages.  Might want to get in 
touch with your fbsd packager and see what's up.
