Hibernate might actually be a bad solution for netbooks with SSDs.
Writing is slow in general, and usually you have around 8GB with 512MB
of RAM. But all in all, I actually miss suspend since I usually do
this by hand when there is about 10% of charge. When it reaches the
deadline I prefer to have the netbook to shutdown.
