Yeah but now Stephan has digged in gtk/pango/cairo and
gnome-settings-daemon code and saw that:
1) it was a mess
2) no calcul was done when /Xft/DPI was -1 in XSettings, and it
defaulted to 96 (or 75 (or 72)).

So basically, afaik, Stephan now believes it's the Right Thing[tm] :)
