Fine by me. If eggsm gives too much trouble we should ditch it and use
the old code. I'd prefer turning it into a gobject tho, if we have an
idea how the api should look like I could code it in a couple of days,
then we don't have to look at this again for 4.10 and continue with
other stuff.
