Sorry dude, keep your comments to your area of expertise -- x86.  On ppc 
(at least G4-class; G5 and newer POWER chips are probably better), the 
CPU changes speeds too slowly, and ondemand automatically disables 
itself to avoid performance issues.

Uh, ppc doesn't have ACPI.  And I think benh might take issue with your 
"ppc guys are too lazy" comment.  Hardly...
